B&B’s Attachment flexibility helps Shepley Spring improve productivity

Established in 1996, Shepley Spring has grown rapidly to become the UK’s only fully-integrated independent own label and contract water bottler.

Its centrally-located site in Huddersfield allows for maximum logistical efficiency throughout the UK and Europe. Now, through the supply of Kaup Double Pallet Handler units, onsite productivity has also increased.

B&B Attachments, the UK’s leading independent supplier of forklift truck attachments and exclusive UK distributor of Kaup equipment, has supplied Shepley Springs with the innovative Double Pallet Handlers through Linde Jewsbury, providing the Ice Mineral Water bottler with faster, more reliable loading, unloading and end-of-line support.

The Kaup Double Pallet Handler attachment, supplied through B&B Attachments, has two sets of hydraulically-operated forks, which function in a synchronized way, ensuring the centre pick-up of the load is guaranteed. This motion provides a quick and efficient method of handling goods.

The attachment has been designed specifically for transporting several pallets simultaneously, and can be quickly and easily altered to handle either single or pairs of palletized products. The Double Pallet Handlers were supplied in combination with fork lift extension attachments, which provided Shepley with an effective way of lengthening its forks to handle longer loads safely, and without damage to the load.Charles Smith, Operations
